About the Transcendence Collection
I don’t think time is linear as the calendar leads us to think.
Things come to you, move through you, and leave you only to be recalled back at some later moment where they are sealed off and preserved in a kind of interminable bubble, a transient, permanent blue.
Everyone has their own organizational system for time. This is mine: a collection of bubbles. Filled with both the treacherous and tender experiences of my life, they are wrapped in swirling iridescent azur skin always hiding and revealing their contents in the psychological ether.
Transcendence uses movement and color to acknowledge a journey, the sifting and sorting of details that blend history together. It’s a story, woven through time : a slow trudge in the rain, the gritting of teeth, the feeling of moss between my toes, fog in the morning, a raindrop sliding down the curve of my spine, the return of my breath, the weightlessness of floating on the lake.
Transcendence embodies serenity, tranquility, and comfort. It’s a reminder of that first journey, and the continual work to seek breath, to nurture both soul and body, and to recognize the significance and freedoms of one’s own limitations. It’s grounding and contemplation and acceptance. All of these limitless bubbles. All of this limitless blue.
